Towels
- Wash your towel before the first use to set the colour, improve absorbency and reduce lint.
- Avoid fabric softeners as they leave residue on the fibres, reduce absorbency and the pile.
- Add a cup of distilled white vinegar to the wash periodically to remove residue, improve absorbency and combat the musty smell found in damp towels.
- Avoid contact with skin care products to minimize towel spotting and bleaching.
- Wash towel at 70°C as most bacteria will be eliminated.
- White towels may be brightened slightly by using sparing amounts of bleach.
- Not necessary to iron your towels as the best towels has a soft handle with upright loops.
- Do not dry clean.
- For tumble drying, do not exceed 60°C. This temperature is sufficient to restore the pile and maintain a soft fluffy towel at all times.
- Avoid using fabric softener as the water absorbency will be reduced, resulting in a greasy texture.
T-Shirts
- Wash in cool or delicate wash cycle at 30°C, with a mild detergent.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry, let the sun and wind to do their work.
- Wash inside out to reduce abrasion against other garments in the wash.
- Avoid washing with metal objects such as zippers.
- Iron inside out and do not iron onto the printed area.
- Iron at the correct heat settings, refer to the care label for more instructions.
Bed Linen
- It is recommended that linens are washed at least once a week.
- Use warm water if it is specified in the instructions.
- To remove accumulated stains, never use chlorine. Chlorine destroys the quality of the linens, find a stain remover that is free of chlorine.
- The linens must be dried correctly. Remember to use low heat at all the time, this will help in keeping the linens wrinkle free.
- Another tip is to remove the linens from the dryer when they are still damp.
